History
The first pre-revolutionary print publication is considered to be the brochure "On the Century of the Izhevsk Plant", it was released in a print run of 9 thousand copies and distributed free of charge among factory workers. In 1904, the first newspaper, Izhevsk Telegrams, was published, collectors worked on the telegraph and collected and processed information (long, one-sided stripes in the form of leaflets, contained telegrams from the Russo-Japanese War, local information). The newspaper was pasted on fences, walls of buildings. In 1914, another newspaper began to be published, already at a different level, "Izhevsk Announcements", it contained all the information about shops, hotels and hairdressers. The newspaper was issued on high-quality white paper, large-format texts, was decorated with monograms, beautiful fonts were used in the texts, the publisher was the first photographer of the city Dmitry Naimushin. After February 1917, at least 10 publications were published in Izhevsk. They were published by parties, gymnasium students, cadets; complete freedom of speech reigned, despite the fact that there were no professional journalists at that time, anyone from a teacher to a workers' factory could write an article and only after 1920 did rabkorov (working correspondent) begin to prepare - the position was considered very prestigious.
Television
Television broadcasting in the city began in 1956 and on November 4 the first program went on the air, this day is considered the birthday of Izhevsk television [1] .
