Content
DescriptionIt was first described by Geiglin as a vulture crow. Body length 60–64 cm. A distinctive feature is a thick beak. The beak is very long (longer than the length of the head), it is strongly bent above and below, it is depressed from the sides, and at the base, devoid of bristle-like feathers, broad flat grooves are on the beak. The plumage is black, there is a white spot on the back of the head, feathers are arranged in steps on the tail.
DistributionA bronze crow is common in Ethiopia and Eritrea ; some individuals are found in Sudan and Somalia . The range extends through mountains and high plateaus from 1,500 to 2,400 m above sea level, less often up to 4,000 m above sea level. m
NutritionIt feeds mainly on carrion, less often - insects, small vertebrates and fruits.
ReproductionA bronze crow nests on trees and cliffs. From December to February, the female lays 3 to 5 eggs.
