  • 1895 - Dave Lennox began to produce coal furnaces from sheet steel on rivets in his machine shop in Marshalltown , Iowa .
  • 1904 DW NORRIS and other investors acquire the Lennox Furnace company for approximately $ 40,000.
  • 1923 - Lennox builds a factory in Syracuse , New York .
  • 1935 Lennox develops the industry’s first series of oil-fired and gas-fired air-heating furnaces.
  • 1937 - Lennox starts producing furnaces with built-in fans.
  • 1949 - John Norris Sr. becomes president of Lennox.
  • 1953 - Lennox Industries builds a new headquarters and plant in Toronto , Canada .
