The Assembly of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus ( Turkish : Cumhuriyet Meclisi ) - the legislative representative body of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, which is the unicameral parliament of the country, currently includes 50 deputies elected for five years by the proportional system. Parties are required to overcome the 5% barrier.

Election System
Deputies are elected in 5 constituencies: Lefkosa , Gazimagusa , Girne , Guzelyurt and Iskele , corresponding to the administrative districts of the country .
The voting system is quite complicated: the voter has the right to choose either the support of all party candidates in a given constituency, or several candidates from different parties (including deputies from a constituency).
