Career

Pupil SDYUSHOR Dynamo (Moscow) . Since 1985, he began to advocate for the duplicate club. Dynamo played 1 match as the basis, in which they conceded 2 goals [2] . According to Dynamo goalkeeper coach Nikolai Gontar, Derbunov’s career was hindered by an unbalanced psyche, which made the goalkeeper, who looked good in training, was very nervous in official games and let go of the balls [3] .

In 1988 he moved to the Krasnaya Presnya club, for which he spent 2 seasons.

In 1990 he moved to the Moscow Spartak . I could not win the competition against Stanislav Cherchesov and Gintaras Stauche [4] , remaining in the reserve. For the double he spent 19 matches, in which he conceded 22 goals, he also played 1 game as a field player [5] .

In 1991, Derbunov, among the first Soviet legionnaires, went abroad to the Yugoslav club Lokomotiva (Mostar) [6] .

In 1992 he moved to the Ukrainian club “ Veres ”, for which he spent the season playing in 26 games. From Ukraine, he left for Mexico , moving to the Atlas club, for which he played 10 matches. Then he returned to Moscow and spent the season at the Monolith club, playing in the second league of the Russian championship .

In 1994, Derbunov left for Hong Kong , along with a number of other Russian players, starting to play in the local championship [7] . For five years he played for the local clubs Happy Valley , Hong Kong Rangers and Golden .

Derbunov also became the main goalkeeper of the national team of the Hong Kong championship clubs [8] [9] , in particular, he took with the team the 4th place in the Carlsberg Cup in 1999 [10] , and reached the final of the 2001 tournament, in the semifinal of which Hong Kong defeated in a series penalty Paraguay , largely thanks to the game Derbunova [11] .
