Messages about the main temple of Vic's diocese dedicated to the Apostle Peter date back to the 9th century, when his building was rebuilt by Bishop Ato . In the first half of the 11th century, under Abbé-Bishop Olib, the cathedral was rebuilt again, becoming the basis for the modern cathedral.
