The Garm district is the unit of administrative division of the Tajik SSR that existed in 1929-1931 and 1938-1939. The administrative center is Garm.

The district was originally formed in 1929 by renaming the Garm region . Divided into 5 areas:
- Garmsky
- Jirgital
- Kalai Khumbsky
- Tavil-Darinsky
- Khaitsky [1]
In 1931, he, like most districts on the territory of the USSR, was abolished, and its areas became direct republican subordination.
The district was re-formed on March 16, 1938.
Divided into 9 districts:
- Garm district
- Jirgital district
- Kalai Labi Ob District
- Kalai-Khumb District
- Komsomolabad district
- Sangvorsky district
- Tavil-Darinsky district
- Khait District
- Shulmak District
The districts were divided into 66 village councils [2] .
October 27, 1939 transformed into the Garm region .
