The first album release, Endgame, was a six-minute video featuring Andy Snip , an English producer, who described how to mix the new Head Crusher track in his studio in Derbyshire . In this video, Snip says: "This is definitely the good old Megadeth - just what I like." Endgame was recorded in the band’s own studio, with a light hand called “Vic's Garage,” in San Marcos, California, USA.

Dave Mustaine , frontman and guitarist of Megadeth , said: “It's fast, it's hard, here is singing, and screaming, and just talking (maybe not even singing - listen to the song“ Captive Honour “), the solos are just crazy. We have conceptual songs, for example “The Right To Go Insane” - a song about how you feel, being destroyed, like many Americans, after the economic recession and potential depression of 2000; or “Bite the Hand“, a song about the greed of guarantors, banks, about how they simply do not care about the responsibility that they bear before the public. ”

There are songs like “1,320” - a song about nitrous oxide injection, about funny pokatushki . Mustaine said that the songs “How The Story Ends” and “This Day We Fight!” Were written under the influence of “the faith of a warrior from the great Sun Tzu, as well as under the influence of Aragorn ’s passionate address to his faithful warriors in the Lord of the Rings trilogy , respectively” . He added: “I also have some eccentric songs, in“ Head Crusher “, for example, we are talking about medieval torture devices; and “Endgame” is the title track of a bill in which former President George W. Bush signed into law giving him the right to place American citizens in detention centers right here in the United States. And, of course, my favorite lyrics on this album are about a bank robbery in northern Hollywood in 1997. " [2]

On September 10, in the release of the Alex Jones show, Jones suggested that the title and cover of the album "Endgame" were inspired by the film of the same name, written and directed by himself. Jones stated that he sent Mustaine a copy of the film after he appeared on his radio program in 2008. [3] Later, Dave Mustaine confirmed this. [four]
