Finalist of the USSR personal championships, winner of the 15th etude division championship, 1984 . Since 1962 he published more than 300 compositions, mainly sketches [1] . Member of many competitions, where he was awarded about 200 distinctions (including over 30 first prizes) [1] . Bazlov's etudes are characterized by: an idea disguised as a dynamic game of all figures; the presence of an unobvious thematic false trace; Black's original counterplay.
