Biography

Born February 24 ( March 9 ), 1909 in Kherson (now in Ukraine ).

Came on the stage of the Kherson club while still a schoolboy.

In 1924 - 1926 he studied at the Odessa Labor School No. 39.

In 1926 - 1936 he was an actor in the theater of the Ukrainian State Drama in Odessa (from 1930 - the Odessa Theater of the Revolution, from 1946 - the Odessa Ukrainian Music and Drama Theater named after the October Revolution , from 1995 - named after V. Vasylko ). In 1928, he graduated from a drama studio at the theater (he studied under L. Gakkebusch and V. Vasilko).

In 1931 - 1932 he served in the Red Army as an artist of the Kharkov Red Army Theater.

Since 1936 - actor of the Kiev Ukrainian Drama Theater. I. Franco .

Has acted in films since 1931. Member of the Union of Cinematographers of Ukraine [2] .

Member of the CPSU (b) since 1944 .

He died on August 4, 1994 in Kiev. He was buried at the Bike cemetery .
