History
The Ex Deo project was created by Kataklysm musicians in collaboration with keyboardist Jonathan Leduc. They set a goal to bring Roman mythology closer to people with the help of death metal. Unlike Kataklysm, Ex Deo is released by Napalm Records . Kataklysm is published by Nuclear Blast . The first musical achievement of the group is the debut album Romulus , which was produced by the guitarist of the group, Jean-Francois Dagenet. The album was released on June 19, 2009. In addition to the six Ex Deo musicians, three others were invited to take part in it - Karl Sanders ( Nile ), Obsidian Claw ( Keep of Kalessin ) and Nergal ( Behemoth ). In addition, a video was shot for the song “Romulus” in Belgrade , directed by Stanimir Lukic.
