Biography
Anselmi began his artistic career as a violinist , studied at the Neapolitan Conservatory of San Pietro a Mayella with Angelo Ferny , made his debut at the age of 13. At the same time he was fond of vocal art. Since 1894, he perfected his singing under the guidance of L. Mancinelli .
In 1896 he made his debut in pariah Turidda in Athens (" Country Honor " by Mascagni ). In the same year he performed at the opera houses of Cairo and Alexandria . The performance of the Duke's party at the La Scala Theater in Milan ( 1904 ) made Anselmi one of the leading Belcanto singers. Anselmi toured in England , Russia , Portugal , Spain , Argentina . Anselmi's voice conquered with lyrical warmth, beauty of timbre, thoughtfulness; his performance was distinguished by the freedom and completeness of vocalization.
Anselmi often turned to dramatic parties, which led to his premature loss of voice [2] .
He wrote a symphonic poem for an orchestra and several piano pieces.
