Lost in New York ( French: Perdues dans New York ) is a 1989 French lyric melodrama directed by Jean Rollen. The film was based on material that Rollen shot at the request of television producer Jacques Naum , capturing various kinds of New York. Subsequently, Naum and Rollin decided to use these recordings for a short film. The film does not have a clear plot, and is also stylistically and aesthetically far from the horror theme inherent in Rollin’s films (however, at the same time, the film has a character characteristic of the director’s films - a vampire).

Story
An elderly woman recalls her childhood and friendship with the same young girl. They gave their time to the fact that they were alone and indulged in fantasies in which girls traveled through time and space. For such movements, they used books, films, and also, as a special magical object-guide, a statuette of the moon goddess. During one of their fantasies, the girls introduced themselves as adults and moved to New York, but only in different areas. After that, girls from completely different places of the same city went in search of each other. Soon, one of the girls on the roof of a skyscraper is attacked by a vampire girl.
