School of rock

Dewey Finn ( Jack Black ) is a scandalous guitarist and ardent opponent of all civilized norms of society. In every possible way, he shows his disrespect for established values, trusts in the power and power of rock and roll. Dewey loves jumping from the stage to the hall and twenty-minute solos. Dewey intends to lead his rock band to victory in a local group battle, but his bandmates kick him out of the ensemble.

A starving man, constantly in need of money, living in an apartment thrown with boxes of garbage, Dewey accidentally intercepts a phone call addressed to his roommate Ned Shnibli (Mike White) and unexpectedly agrees to replace his teacher in the prestigious Horace Green Elementary School. There, every beginner's step is monitored by the director of the Mullins school, which does not know that Ned Schnibley is a different person. But, although Dewey has no idea how and what to teach, he knows very well how to inspire sympathy for his fifth graders. And, after Dewey accidentally overheard their rehearsal during a music lesson, he decided to create a new rock band from these young musical talents that would forever change their lives.

Dewey peeped who and how played classical guitar , double bass , cymbal and piano , and replaced these instruments in this way: classical guitar - electric guitar , double bass - bass guitar , cymbal - drum kit , piano - synthesizer . For the rest, he gave different roles (technicians, stage workers, responsible for special effects ), and the particularly annoying girl Summer, to keep her behind him, he gave the position of manager.

With the help of rock, he helped children overcome their complexes, tightness and shyness.

The idea of ​​the film came to the mind of screenwriter Mike White when he became Jack Black's neighbor. White often saw this actor running naked through the corridors and heard music that Black turned on in his apartment at full volume (this music was later used in the picture). White also played in the movie the teacher, who was replaced by Dewey ^[3] .
