An old Orthodox church is located in the village, which is currently in a dilapidated state. It is also known that Bishop Vasily (Preobrazhensky) , having moved to Kotovo in 1941 to the house of the confessor Iraida Osipovna Tikhova , made an agreement with the priest of this church and served in it on weekdays. Later, a small house church was built on the Tikhov site in the bathhouse, where Vasily Preobrazhensky began to serve the Divine Liturgy. [one]
