Botanical Description
Perennial plant with rough- haired stems 30-100 cm tall.
Leaves narrowed to the base. Bracts are ovoid, whole-marginal.
The teeth of the calyx are triangular, half the length of its tube.
Corolla 13-15 mm long, light yellow, in the throat orange, with red spots on the lower lip.
It blooms in summer.
Distribution and Ecology
Meaning and Application
From the end of June until the fall (even in hot, dry weather), the purge straight gives honey bees abundant nectar bribes, which is why it is often bred near apiaries [1] .
