Maria Antónia Teixeira Rosa , better known as Mia Rose (Mia Rose) (Wimbledon, January 26, 1988 ) is a Portuguese-English bard singer, and youtuber , made famous by a YouTube site named miaarose . In July 2007, the number of views of her personal channel exceeded 65,000 times. By November 18, 2007, the figure reached 87526, and on September 17, 2008, it was already 146295. From the same time, it is in fourth place among artists by the number of views on YouTube. And on November 3, 2012 the number of views is equal to 132019163.

Musical career
Rose opened her YouTube channel on December 29, 2006 during the Christmas holidays at the university. She posted videos of her songs daily and during the month many times became a musician, on whose page a record number of viewers subscribed.
In 2008, after her success on YouTube, she appeared on Google Zeitgeist [1] and was a speaker at the SIME conference in Sweden [2] .
In May 2009, Mia wrote, recorded and distributed the song “Let Go”, selling it on iTunes in Portugal. The song quickly became the best-selling track in the list of downloads and took second place in the download chart.
By November 2010, the number of subscribers to the channel reached 265,000.
She has a performance with musician Hanna Gargour, with whom Rose sang the song “Waiting on the World to Change”. Queen Rania of Jordan noted that this song was an example of how art can contribute to reducing the international cultural divide.
Her second self-released single with the songs “What Would Christmas Be Like?” And “Fallin 'For You” was introduced on December 2, 2009. The song “What Would Christmas Be Like?” Was written by Rose herself, while “Fallin 'For You” is a song by Colbie Caillat.
Before leaving for the UK from Portugal, Mia Rose also worked as a teen model for the Young Faces of London agency as a teenager.
According to the official MySpace page , Mia now lives in New York, in the United States of America. There she also published her first song “Hold Me Now” for the general public.
Collaboration with labels
In January 2007, Ryan Leslie signed Rose to NextSelection / Universal. But in 2009, collaboration with the label was discontinued due to disagreements and a different vision of Rose’s work. The label wanted her to sing hip-hop, while Mia loved pop rock music more. After breaking the contract with NextSelection, after some time a new one was signed, with the Portuguese label Cherry Entertainment.
