Biography

Having entered the Black Sea Fleet as an artillery non-commissioned officer in 1837, in 1840 he was promoted to ensign of naval artillery.

He sailed on the ships of the Baltic and Black Sea fleets and participated in occupying the shores of the Caucasus . In 1849, with the rank of lieutenant, he was transferred from the naval artillery corps to the fleet.

From the beginning of the Eastern War he was in the Black Sea Fleet, in 1854 he participated in a naval battle, under the command of Rear Admiral Panfilov , against three English ships. The entire siege of Sevastopol, Perekomsky was in his garrison, the 15th battery of the 4th bastion was named after him. On April 1, 1854, when the assault was repelled, he was shell-shocked by a bomb fragment. On December 6, 1854, Perekomsky was awarded the Order of St. George of the 4th degree (No. 9541 according to the cavalier list of Grigorovich - Stepanov). In addition, for bravery, Perekomsky received the Order of St. Anne of the 3rd degree with swords and St. Stanislav of the 2nd degree with a crown, and for distinction he was promoted to lieutenant commander .

In 1856-1858, Perekomsky commanded the 42nd naval crew, in 1860-1861, the transport "Theodosia" on the Black Sea , in 1862 he commanded the 2nd combined Black Sea crew, and in 1863 was appointed superintendent of the Naval Hospital in Nikolaev . At the beginning of 1866, Perekomsky was promoted to captain of the 1st rank, but in the middle of June he died, on June 27 he was excluded from the service lists.

In Sevastopol, Perekomsky Lane in Nakhimovsky District - between Petrovsky Spusk and ul. Podoltseva.
