Story
The film is about the history and untimely death of the famous magician - Harry Houdini . Events unfold at the beginning of the 20th century, in particular, in 1926 , during the period of the highest rise in the glory of the gifted magician and illusionist. The film tells the story of Harry Houdini's journey around the UK, when the magician and sorcerer first showed the attraction of "incredible release" (from the "upside down" position in a locked chest filled with water). Along with the performance of this number, the illusionist experienced a crazy passion for a lady whom he met in Scotland during a tour. Love for Mary broke out during the seances, where Houdini exposed pseudo-psychics. Mary and her daughters, through tricks and social engineering, managed to find out Harry's innermost secret - the suffering of a great but lonely person and win $ 10,000 as a prize (it must be clarified that at the climax of the experiment, when Mary, imbued with feelings for the illusionist Houdini, refuses fraud and prize, her daughter has psychic abilities). Harry is in love, satisfied with the solution to his own mystification and dies from the blow of a hooligan who decided to test the magician's world-famous "iron press " for strength.
