Ruf of Metz

Rufus (beginning of the 5th century ) - Bishop Metz , saint . Memorial Day - November 7th .

Saint Rufus was the successor to Bishop Sambas at the Metz pulpit and remained bishop for about three decades [1] [2] .

According to the Catholic Encyclopedia of 1913: "His name was retroactively entered into" " [3] ."

The relics of St. Ruf of Metz were transferred to a monastery near Worms during the reign of Lothar I. Perhaps this is a monastery in the Gau-Odernheim [4] .
