Description
The line was opened on September 15, 1979 by the Sadguris Moedani-2 starting section - Delisi from 5 stations.
In connection with the opening on April 2, 2000 of the Vazha-Pshavela station, which does not have a route for circulation, trains on this segment were carried out (before the opening of the State University station) only along the second main route; "Followed back to the" Sadguris Moedani-2 ".
The site to the station “ State University ” was completed from 2015 at the expense of the Asian Development Bank using the backlog of the Soviet era — 80% of the tunnels built [1] .
The extension of the line took place on October 16, 2017.
The line is served by a three-carriage model 81-717 / 714 .
