Golovnin Mountain, Kakhey Rock and Rikord Mountain
Together with Mount Golovnin and Kakhey rock form the so-called "peaks of Russian-Japanese friendship." Here, at the foot of these mountains, on the territory of the Nalychevo Natural Park, in July 2009, the Second Anniversary Meeting of the descendants of [1] the heroes of the "Golovnin Incident" , a military conflict of the early 19th century that put Russian-Japanese relations on the brink of war, took place. The peaceful resolution of this incident is an important precedent for resolving complex interstate conflicts based on friendly relations and mutual trust.
