Heinonen studied at the gymnasium of Sibelius ( Finnish. Sibelius-lukio ) (Helsinki, Kruununhaka ) - a secondary school with in-depth study of music and dance. In 1994, Eero and his friends at the gymnasium, Lauri Ülönen , Pauli Rantasalmi and Janne Heiskanen organized a group in which they played the songs of Nirvana and Metallica . Initially, the group was called Sputnik , then Anttila , then Rasmus (since 2001 - The Rasmus ).
In 1999-2004, Eero also played in the pop group Korpi Ensemble ( Fin. Korpi Ensemble ), which performed pop music , jazz , soul , as well as folk music .
In addition, Eero in 2003 founded the rock band Hay and Stone ( Finnish. Hay and Stone ), playing in the style of post - grunge . In it, he performs both as a bass player and as a vocalist . In 2006, the group released the disc Making waves ( born Making Waves (Hay and Stone album) ).
