The eastern oil and gas region of Ukraine ( Ukrainian: The Scheme of the Naftogasiferous Region of Ukraine ) is the oil and gas region in Ukraine , located in the Chernihiv , Sumy , Poltava , Dnepropetrovsk , Kharkov , Lugansk and Donetsk regions.
Feature
It includes only the Dnieper-Donetsk oil and gas region . The region contains 85% of the natural gas reserves and 61% of the extracted oil reserves of Ukraine. The number of discovered deposits is 205.
Classification
Complexes of the region:
- Mesozoic - 11 oil and gas deposits in sediments of the Jurassic and Triassic (1.5% of proven reserves),
- Verkhnekamennougolno-Perm - 45 deposits, 26 deposits (57% of proven gas reserves, 39% - oil),
- Middle Carboniferous - 165 deposits, 54 deposits (5% of proven reserves),
- Serpukhov - 164 deposits, 68 deposits (8.3% of proven reserves),
- Verkhneviseisky - 332 deposits, 119 deposits (25% of proven reserves),
- Tournaisian-Lower Visean - 83 deposits, 70 deposits (9% of explored reserves),
- Devonsky - 8 deposits (1% of proven reserves),
- Precambrian - 4 deposits.
