Facade Kestnergesellschaft
Kestner Society ( German: Kestnergesellschaft ) is a cultural development support company in the city of Hanover .
In 1916 created with the help of the Hanover Art Association to stimulate the life of the art of the city of Hanover. During Nazism in Germany, society was dissolved and resumed its activities only in 1947.
The founders also belonged to William Debschitz ( 1871 - 1948 ). After World War II , the photographer and photojournalist Umbo collaborated with the Society.
