Albania took part in the seven summer Olympics . The country debuted at the Olympics in 1972 at the Games in Munich . Then the Albanian athletes missed four Olympic cycles, returning to the Olympic family only in 1992 at the Games in Barcelona . Since then, she has participated in all the Summer Games. The country at the Summer Games was represented by athletes who participated in wrestling, cycling, judo, athletics, swimming, shooting and weightlifting competitions. The largest delegation of Albania sent to the Games in Beijing and London (11 people each).

In the Winter Olympics, Albania participated four times. At the first two Winter Olympics, the country was represented by one athlete - Eren Tol , and in SΓΆchi and Pyeongchang, Suela Mehili performed with him.
Albanian athletes have never won Olympic medals . The best result among Albanian Olympians was shown by weightlifter Ilirzhan Suli , who finished fifth in 2000 .
The National Olympic Committee of Albania was established in 1958 , recognized by the IOC in 1959 .
