Biography

At age 14, he moved with his family from Armenia to Italy. Has EU citizenship. Giorgio Petrosyan will take his place in Italy, with the management of manager Carlo Di Blasi, an international martial arts legend, Paolo Biotti The Flex, official TV sparring partner Don Wilson , considered the Italian first response to Dida Diafat , Ramon Dekkers and Pennacchio, [1] whose career is booming towards the martial arts cinema of the film industry [2] and the world title will be blocked by a fatal car accident that will take him a few years later in a wheelchair, after several operations Biotti will return to battle, but whether several times, and then became one of the most famous sports managers in Europe [3] .

Performances until 2009

In 2005-2008, Petrosyan won a number of European titles, including becoming the star of the Italian organizations Kombat League and Janus Fight Night (here he won two grand prix in 2006 and 2007). During this period, he defeated fighters well-known by European standards, such as Imro Mine, Cedric Muller, Marco Pique, Arslan Magomedov, Abdullah Mabel, Chris N'Gimbi, Naryphon Fairtex, Varren Stevelmans. The greatest fame was brought to Petrosyan in May 2007 by a draw with Buakhau Poe. Pramuk , who was at the peak of his form at that time, but many believe that it was Buakav who won this fight.

2009

In March 2009, Gevorg defeated Andy Sauver, after which he took part in the most prestigious tournament in the first middleweight - the K-1 MAX Grand Prix. Having defeated in turn Jabar Askerov , Albert Kraus, Yuyu Yamamoto and Andy Sauver again, Petrosyan became the new champion.
In the interval between the stages of the Grand Prix, Gevorg defeated the strong Dutchman Faldir Shahbari in May 2009.

2010

In March 2010, Petrosyan defeated the Thai Khem Sitsongphinong, interrupting his two-year series of 19 win-win battles.
At the next K-1 Grand Prix MAX Gevorg repeated last year's triumph and, having beaten Vitaly Gurkov , Albert Kraus, Mike Zambidis and Yoshihiro Sato , became the two-time K-1 champion, and he did it for the first time in a row.

2011

In 2011, due to financial difficulties, the next K-1 MAX Grand Prix did not take place. Nevertheless, Petrosyan continued to perform at a high level, confirming his champion status. In January, Gevorg beat a very strong Thai Sutsakhon So. Klinmi, in March - Brazilian Cosmo Alesandri, in July - Hinatu Watanabe, who previously sensationally defeated Arthur Kishenko .
In September 2011, Petrosyan intended to take part in the It's Showtime Fast & Furious tournament (the tournament was to become a full-fledged replacement for the K-1 MAX), but dropped out due to an injury. It is interesting that Robin van Rosmalen, who replaced him at the last moment, eventually unexpectedly became the winner.

2012

In 2012, Petrosyan, recovering from his injuries, returned to serious battles again and in January defeated the Spaniard Abraham Roqueni, who became famous thanks to last year's victories over Gago Drago and Andy Sauver. In March, Gevorg won a landslide victory over the Ukrainian Arthur Kishenko , one of the best middleweights.
In the 2012 division of spheres of influence in kickboxing between K-1 and the Glory World Series, Petrosyan sided with the second organization, becoming a member of the first middleweight grand prix organized by her. Having defeated Fabio Pinku, Kai Hollenbeck, David Kiriyu and last year's triumphant Robin van Rosmalen in turn, Gevorg won the tournament.

year 2013

In 2013, Petrosyan took part in the Glory 12 championship in New York, reached the semifinals, where he met with the Dutch fighter Andy Risti, who recently made his debut in the K-1 fights, it should be noted the unusual manner of conducting the fight in this fight. Petrosyan, a fighter with a great sense of distance and cold-blooded fighting tactics, in this meeting retreated from his fighting principles and went in exchange with an opponent, leading a forceful manner of combat, at the beginning of the third round missed the left straight into the chin, got into a heavy knockout and was not able to continue the fight. This was the first knockout in the professional career of Gevorg Petrosyan.
