Biography
He graduated from the Rostov Higher Military Command Engineering School named after the Chief Marshal of Artillery M. I. Nedelin (1966-1971), the Military Academy named after F. E. After graduation, he served as an engineer, then as the commander of a missile regiment launch group (Aleysk). Having assumed the post of commander of the Strategic Missile Forces, special attention was paid to maintaining high combat readiness of the troops, further improving missile weapons, combat control and communications equipment, developing all types of support for missile formations and units and their combat training in the context of the ongoing reform of the Russian Armed Forces. Under his direct leadership in the Strategic Missile Forces, new missile systems were adopted, and the life of missiles already on combat duty was extended. Military-economic work to extend the life of missile systems made it possible to maintain the group at the level of contractual relations and free up huge financial and other resources for their use in other areas of military construction, primarily in the interests of social protection of military personnel and improvement of their living conditions.
Doctor of Military Sciences (2001), Professor (1999), Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Missile and Artillery Sciences (2004), Laureate of the RF Government Prize in Science and Technology (2004). He has more than 40 scientific papers used in the educational and educational process in universities and troops. Under his editorship, for the 50th anniversary of the Strategic Missile Forces, the "Encyclopedia of Strategic Missile Forces" was first created. He was awarded the Prize of the Government of the Russian Federation for the creation of a space rocket system based on RS-20 strategic rockets for launching spacecraft (the Dnepr program). Three military ranks (captain, lieutenant colonel and colonel) are assigned ahead of schedule.
