International Fireworks Festival - a demonstration of the best achievements of fireworks, which is held annually in Cheboksary.
The purpose of the festival is to demonstrate the best achievements of fireworks and popularize fireworks and the city of Cheboksary as one of the best Russian cities and a tourist center of the Volga region [1] .
The objectives of the Festival:
- a demonstration of the creative and technical capabilities of the best domestic and foreign pyrotechnic teams and firms;
- the establishment of new intercultural relations between cities of Russia and abroad;
- the formation of the image of the city of Cheboksary as one of the best Russian cities and a tourist center of the Volga region.
The organizer of the festival is the Cabinet of Ministers of the Chuvash Republic with the assistance of the Russian Association of Pyrotechnics and Firework Demonstrators (RAPID-Fireworks).
The venue of the Festival is Cheboksary, the embankment of the Cheboksary Bay and the Volga River .

History
The President of the Russian Pyrotechnic Association "RAPID-Fireworks", the Director of the Pyrotechnic Center of Russia Federal State Unitary Enterprise Scientific Research Institute of Applied Chemistry, Academician N. Varenykh [2] addressed the Government of the Chuvash Republic with a proposal for organizing and holding the annual All-Russian International Firework Festival in Cheboksary . .
On March 13, 2008, a joint meeting was held between the Minister of Industry and Energy of the Chuvash Republic Yuri Voloshin and the General Director of the FSUE ChPaev V.I. Chapaev Mikhail Reznikov on the organization and conduct of the fireworks festival.
The idea of holding a festival of fireworks in Cheboksary was supported by the President of the Chuvash Republic, N. V. Fedorov . In his opinion: “This project will contribute to the additional attraction of tourists to the Chuvash land” [3] .
First International Fireworks Festival
The International Fireworks Festival, held May 9-11, 2008 in Cheboksary, was attended by teams from Russia (St. Petersburg, Cheboksary, Sergiev-Posad, Chelyabinsk), Belarus and Kazakhstan.
Fireworks displays were held over the water surface of the Cheboksary Bay. All actions of the installations were planned and built to the music. Simultaneous firing of pyrotechnic products from three launch points was simultaneously achieved by programming the launch from electronic control panels.
The festival ended on May 11 on the closing day of the XXIII World Race Walking Cup.
Themes of pyrotechnic performances:

Second International Fireworks Festival
The second International Fireworks Festival was held on June 23-24 on the embankment of the Cheboksary Bay. During two evenings, 5 professional pyrotechnic teams from Russia (Cheboksary, Chelyabinsk and Tyumen), Belarus and Kazakhstan demonstrated their art.
The theme of the first day of the festival was dedicated to space. The choice of topic is related to the eightieth birthday of the third pilot-cosmonaut Andriyan Nikolaev, a native of Chuvashia. The festival ended on June 24 with a gala performance of FSUE Cheboksary Production Association named after V. I. Chapaev, which performed out of competition.
The main prize of the festival was won by the team of Calvin LLC, the Republic of Belarus, Dzerzhinsk - she was awarded a diploma of the winner and a unique figurine - a copy of the monument to Mother. Each of the participating teams was awarded in different categories. For the creation of a vivid image, OOO Fireworks was awarded, Chelyabinsk; The nomination “The Best Pyromusical Composition” went to the Fireworks Center LLC, Tyumen; “For the originality of the performance” - Zharylys & Co LLP, the Republic of Kazakhstan. A special prize for creative reflection of the idea was awarded to the chief performer of the fireworks display - FSUE Cheboksary Production Association named after Vasily Ivanovich Chapaev [5] .
Third International Fireworks Festival
On June 23-24, 2012, the III International Fireworks Festival was held in the capital of Chuvashia, Cheboksary, which this year was dedicated to the celebration of the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Chuvash Republic and was a wonderful end to the festive events.
The festival gathered a huge number of true connoisseurs of colorful spectacles. It was possible to watch the pyromusical performance from the water area of the Cheboksary Bay and the territory of the monument to Mother Patroness.
Four teams took part in the competitive show:
