Semboku ( Jap. 仙 北市 Semboku-si ) is a city in Japan located in the eastern part of Akita Prefecture. Founded September 20, 2005 through the merger of the villages of Kakunodate, Tadzavako and the village of Nishiki, Samboku County. Lake Tazawa is located in the center of the city, as well as a part of the Towada-Hatimandai park .
