Story
Olympus There are all the most important gods: the mighty Zeus, the pommel, the insidious wife of the goddess-patron of marriage Hera , the handsome and singer Apollo-streloverzhe , the lord of the seas Poseidon , the warrior Ares , the goddess of beauty and love Aphrodite and wise Athena .
Immediately and the illegitimate son of Zeus, Hercules - the demigod-half-man. Missing the Earth , he asked for it from Zeus before the sun rises. He is accompanied by an eagle — a cunning and insinuating cynicotist, the very one who once pecked Prometheus and from whom Heracles rescued him. On Earth, Hercules falls into a temple dedicated to him and his twelve exploits . There he recalls some of them, namely the apples of the Hesperides and the rescue of the titan Prometheus.
Morning has come, and it is time for Hercules to return to Olympus. But lingering for a while, he notices monsters once defeated, and now reappearing: Hydra (fascism), Stymphalian birds (bomber planes), and also sees the martyr in chains (an islander who is whipped by a soldier with a whip). Unable to withstand, Hercules decides to stay on Earth. And no matter how the eagle tried to persuade him to return to Olympus, Hercules was adamant - becoming a god, he still remained a man.
Differences from myths
- In the memory of the apples of the Hesperides, there are no Hesperides and the scene of creating a source near Atlanta , in contrast to the myth.
- In memory of the release of Prometheus, the eagle is only stunned by the blow of the club, in the myth he was shot from a bow.
- One of the apples was partially spent on the treatment of Prometheus, in the myth the apples were brought to Eurystheus intact.

Reviews
The cycle of Alexandra Snezhko-Blotskaya’s films is widely known according to the myths of ancient Greece. In collaboration with the artist Alexander Trusov, they presented to the audience their vision of gods, ancient heroes, jellyfish, Minotaur and other characters unusual for the viewer until that time. In this genre, Snezhko-Blotskaya also became a pioneer and managed to shoot five pictures: “Return from Olympus” (1969), “Labyrinth” (1971), “Argonauts” (1972), “Perseus” (1973), “Prometheus” (1974 ).
