The Okovetsky Klyuch is a natural monument in the Selizharovsky district of the Tver region of Russia, near the village of Okovtsy , a spring of a deep horizon, from which clear clear water beats with a fountain. The source is located at the steep bend of the river Pyroshnya . A tray has been made along which water flows into the river. In the key, everyone can take a bath. The water temperature is constant throughout the year: +4 degrees.

History
According to legend, this place was opened to people in 1539 , when two local thieves, Ivan and Yermolai, appeared in the dense forest icon of the Holy Cross. And then, when a monk of Selizharov’s monastery, Ivan, was invited to examine this phenomenon, the icon of the Mother of God with the Eternal Child on her left hand and the upcoming Saint Nicholas immediately appeared to him and to the people who came with him.
As soon as the monk touched the image of the Virgin, a terrible storm broke out, which frightened the people very much. At the same time, a wonderful light spilled from the image itself. Due to the fact that miraculous healings began from icons and bathing in those places, the church in the name of the Most Holy Theotokos Hodegetria and the church in the name of the origin of the Honest Trees were later erected on the site of the acquisition of the icons.
The place named after the village located there began to be called Okovets. Twice - during the Polish-Lithuanian invasion and in the Soviet period, the Kokovetsky shrines were ruined. Waiting for the troubled times in Veliky Novgorod, the miraculous icons during the time of the Soviet theology of God were lost and have not yet been opened.
Currently, a new temple has been built, wooden baths have been built.
July 24 , on the day of the discovery of the miraculous icons of the Ookovets, the archbishop of Tver and Kashinsky Victor conducts liturgies here, after which the procession goes to the Holy Key, where a blessed prayer is served. During the rule of the Bolsheviks, the church was destroyed to the ground. It was restored recently with the money of a patron.
