Jang Keun-suk

He was born on September 26 (the 4th of the 8th lunar month) in 1987 in the Tanyan county of Chuncheon-pukto province . The only child in the family. He got into the modeling business by accident at the age of 5 (6 according to the Korean calculus of age). At that time, the boy’s parents sold the house, and the buyer, who turned out to be an employee of a modeling agency, saw the potential in the boy. After working as a model for several years, Chan Geun-suk at the age of 10 becomes a child actor.

At high school, becoming interested in Japanese pop music performed by Ken Hirai and the L'Arc-en-Ciel band, Chan Geun Suk independently began to study Japanese , and after moving to New Zealand he began to study English, which later helped the actor to get roles in the Japanese film “One Missed Call: Final” (2006) and the film of the joint US-Korean production “The Case of Itaewon Homicide” (2009). Movie career

The debut role of Chan Geun-suk dates back to 1997. He was invited to play in the drama "Happiness for sales" ("Happiness for sale") channel HBS. Then came several episodic roles. In 2004, the youth series “Nonstop 4” (“Without Stops”, the role of Geun Sok, MBC) was released, which became a hit. To participate in it, Jang Geun Suk interrupts his studies abroad and decides to return to South Korea. His game was appreciated by professionals, and later more serious roles followed. 2005 was marked by participation in the drama “Lovers in Prague” ( SBS channel), where the young actor played the role of the president’s son.

2006 year. Chan Geun Suk is participating immediately in three major film projects. “One Missed Call: Final” (“The missed call: Final” - the role of a deaf-mute youth, for whom the actor specially learned sign language). Thanks to this film, Jang Geun-suk becomes famous outside of South Korea. The second film project is the historical drama "Hwang Jin-Yi" ("Hwang Jin Yi"), in which the young actor played the role of Kim Yong Ho - the first love of the main character. The role in the first allowed Chan Geun Suk to demonstrate not only his acting skills, but also revealed his potential as a singer. In 2008, the actor was immediately involved in two film projects related to music: the film "Doremifasollasido" and the drama dedicated to classical music, "Beethoven virus" ("Beethoven virus", MBC). In addition, Jang Geun Suk manages to play an unlucky high school student in the comedy Baby and I (Baby and I) and the role of Lee Chang Hwi, the disgraced prince of the Joseon Dynasty, in the adventure drama with historical background, Hong Gil Dong ( KBS2 ).

In 2010, Jang Geun-suk plays soloist of the indie band Kang Mu Gul in the musical drama "Mary Stayed out all night" ("Ma Ri, where have you been all night?", KBS2), where he starred with Moon Gyn-yun . June 2011 brought Chan Geun-suk to participate in the next project “Love Rain” (“Rain of Love”, KBS2). In this drama, the actor, like his partner in the series Yuna, had to play double roles (1970 and 2012).

In November 2011, a remake of the Japanese drama "You Are My Pet" ("You Are My Pet") with Jang Geun-suk as the dancer of the musical In Ying Ho is released. In the summer of 2013, after a long choice of script, Chan Geun Suk accepts the offer to star in the drama Pretty Man (Handsome, KBS2) based on the eponymous Manhwa. In 2016, he starred in the drama "Daebak / Jackpot" (SBS channel), where he played the role of Baek Dae Gil, the lost son of King Suk Chong. 2011 was the debut of Chan Geun-suk as a director. His author's film “Budapest Diary” (“The Budapest Diary”) is released, in which he himself played. Team H

In 2011, Jang Geun Suk and his close friend Big Brother (Chang Kurt Jung) stood out from a student group of seven young people who came together to hold parties and other university events. They organize Team H. The literal translation is “Team H,” from the capital letter “H” for the name Han Yang University , the university where the boys studied.
