Hill

Hill, Zagorje

A hill is a relief form in the form of a small hill , in the plan of a round or oval shape, with gentle slopes and a weakly expressed foot . The relative height is up to 200 m [1] . Cities were often built on the hills, so many of them have their own names (for example, Capitol , Celius ).

The origin of the hills can be different: accumulative moraine hills of ancient glaciations, erosive - when the elevation is divided by a system of beams and river valleys. A cluster of low mountains and hills is called the highlands . As a rule, these are not mountains completely destroyed by denudation, or sections of nascent mountains . [2]

Some famous geographical features associated with hills:

  • Dyatlovy mountains
  • Hills of rome
  • Seven hills of Moscow
