Biography
Secondary education in the School of Memory in 1905 . In 1940 he worked as a painter-decorator in the Theater. Vakhtangov and the Operetta Theater.
Member of the Great Patriotic War. [one]
Ponsov A. D. after the front adopted on the second course of the Institute. Surikov, in 1947, was expelled "for formalism and servility before the West." In 1953 he graduated from the staging department of the Moscow Art Theater School .
From the same year - in the Moscow Art Theater (costume designer, decorative artist, production designer, head of the staging part). Starting with the design of the performances of "Lermontov", "The road through Sokolniki", he participated in the stage decision of more than 50 plays. In 1964, he designed the play “ 104 pages about love ” by Edward Radzinsky at the Saratov Drama Theater [2] .
A rare combination of artistic and technical talent at A.D. Ponsov was supplemented by a pedagogical gift: he became a teacher at the Moscow Art Theater School since 1954, and then heads of the department for creating the external form of the play, professor (1988). The author of a number of works on the technology of the stage: the author of the textbook "Designs and manufacturing technology of theatrical scenery" (Moscow, 1988; 2nd ed., 2000)
Died October 22, 2009, buried in Moscow at Vvedensky Cemetery [3] .
