Anjou ( 安 城市 Anjou: -shi ) is a city in Japan located in the central part of Aichi Prefecture . It was founded on May 5, 1952 by assigning the town the status of a town. The city is located in the center of the Okazaki Valley. In the 20th century, Anjo turned into a center for the automotive industry .
