Biography

SV Gromov was born in Moscow . He graduated from the Physics Department of the Moscow Pedagogical Institute named after V. I. Lenin (MGPI) [1] . During his studies, he was engaged in scientific work, specializing in theoretical physics and methods of teaching it. After graduation, he worked as a teacher in the school, combining work with studies in graduate school at the department of methods of teaching physics at Moscow State Pedagogical Institute [1] . Deep knowledge of physics as a science and professional mastery of teaching methods in modern school conditions allowed S. V. Gromov to create interesting textbooks for primary and secondary schools.

Characteristics of textbooks

Gromov belongs to a new generation of authors of school textbooks in physics. The distinction of his textbooks from, for example, the classical textbooks of Peryshkin in using the problematic method of exposition, attracting interesting facts from the history of the development of physics, using excerpts from the works of outstanding physicists. Gromov was able to revive the text of the textbook, create an atmosphere of complicity in the search for truth, and succeeded in presenting a physics course in a simple, accessible and, at the same time, interesting language. The derivation of physical formulas is also elegant. The location of the studied topics is somewhat unconventional. Thus, the 10th grade is fully devoted to the study of mechanics, including Einstein's theory of relativity and electrodynamics. Grade 11 begins with optics, and thermal phenomena open the topic β€œThermal phenomena. The structure and properties of the substance "in which, according to the author, it is more appropriate. This permutation requires a corresponding permutation of the topics studied in mathematics, since knowledge of the derivative is appropriate in electromagnetism.
