Biography

He was born in the family of a college assessor , the head of the Kotoryn telegraph station, Ivan Jacob Langvagen, and the trustee of the Pinsky real school, Mikhalina Ivanovna Langvagen (born Schensnovich).

He graduated from the St. Petersburg Institute of Civil Engineers of Emperor Nicholas I (1909) with the rank of civil engineer , with the right to the rank of X class . By a decree of the Council of the Institute of Civil Engineers of October 7, 1909, Langwagen was awarded a gold medal for the best architecture projects by V.-K. Langwagen during his stay at the institute.

He was assigned to serve in the Ministry of the Interior with a secondment for classes in the Technical and Construction Committee (07.21.1911).

  • Inspector of the Control and Inspection Division of the Leningrad Provincial Department of Public Utilities (1926-1930).
  • Engineer of the Trust of the communal houses of the Leningrad City Council (1930-1933).
  • Architect-engineer of the Department of Capital Construction of the Green Building Trust of the Lensovet (1933-1942).
  • Architectural engineer of the Tauride Combine of the Garden and Park Economy of the Leningrad City Council (1942-1943).

In 1915, Langwagen married Tamara Emanuelovna Kruger. In 1916 they had a daughter, Elena.

He died on May 10, 1943 in Leningrad , was buried at the Volkovsky Orthodox cemetery .
