Description

Annual or perennial herbaceous plants , often growing in water or on waterlogged soil. Leaves sessile or with a short petiole. The edge of the leaf is whole, serrated, rarely wavy. Sedentary flowers . The cup is 5-membered. Corolla tubular. Stamens 2 or 4. Seeds are disc-shaped, covered with long mucous hairs [2] .
