Biography
Born in a working class family. Jew . Graduated 10 classes. In the Red Army since 1941. In the same year he graduated from the Tambov Military Infantry School.
In the army since August 1941. In the battles of Iasi showed examples of perseverance and courage in defending the captured bridgehead. Always skillfully performed the assigned combat mission.
He showed heroism and courage in the battles for the village of Remeti on the territory of Romania. There, the offensive of the regiment was stopped by the enemy by forces of up to 900 soldiers with the support of three tanks. The battalion commander received the task of a bypass maneuver to knock down the enemy from his positions As a result of a sudden attack, the enemy fled in panic, leaving up to 300 soldiers and officers on the battlefield.
He skillfully organized a battle on the outskirts of the city of Oradea Mare (Oradea, Romania) on October 3, 1944. The battalion repulsed 6 enemy counterattacks and resumed the attack on the city. He was wounded and died from wounds on October 10, 1944. The title of Hero of the Soviet Union was awarded on March 24, 1945.
Buried in the city of Alba Iulia (Romania).
Awards
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated March 24, 1945, he was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union (posthumous) for the exemplary performance of the tasks of command and the courage and heroism shown to Nepomnyashchy Mikhail Grigorievich.
He was awarded the Order of Lenin (1945), the Order of Alexander Nevsky (1944), the Order of the Red Star (1943).
