Geography
The village is located on both banks of the Roshnya river, 3 km south-west of the regional center - the city of Urus-Martan .
The nearest settlements: in the north - the village of Gekhi , in the north-east - Urus-Martan , in the east - the village of Tangi-Chu , in the west - the village of Gekhi-Chu [3] .
History
The name of the village of Roshni-Chu comes from the river Roshnaya , which flows through it [4] .
In 1944, after the deportation of Chechens and Ingush and the abolition of the Chechen-Ingush Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, the village of Roshni-Chu was renamed Lesnoye [5] .
In 1958, after the restoration of the Chechen-Ingush Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic , the village was returned to its former name - Roshni-Chu.
