Griesbach, Eberhard

From a tailor's family. After leaving school on August 11, 1954 he entered the Higher Naval Officers 'School in Stralsund (then it was called the Naval Officers' School), which he graduated in 1958 . In 1956 he joined the SED . In 1958 - 1959 he worked as an electric welder at a shipyard in Volgast . After that, his entire service in combat units for more than twenty years turned out to be connected with the 6th fleet of the Volksmarine . Initially, in 1960-1962, he commanded a torpedo boat. In 1962 he commanded a missile boat. In 1963 - 1965 he served as a navigator and at the same time chief of staff in the 1st division of boats. In 1965 - 1966 he commanded the 1st squad of missile boats. In 1966 - 1969 he studied at the Military Academy of the NNA named after Friedrich Engels. In 1969 - 1970 he commanded the 3rd division of missile boats. In 1970 - 1971 he commanded a brigade of torpedo boats. In 1971 - 1974 he served as commander of the 3rd brigade of missile torpedo boats. In 1974 - 1983 he served as chief of staff and deputy commander of the 6th Flotilla Volksmarine . From May 1, 1983 to October 31, 1987, Captain Tsur See Zrissbach himself commanded the 6th Flotilla. March 1, 1986 , on the 30th anniversary of the formation of the National People's Army , received the rank of rear admiral. From 1987 to 1988, he served on the Volksmarine’s command as deputy chief of combat training for the Volksmarine (Stv. Chef Ausbild. F. Gefechtsausb., Kdo. VM). des Chefs und Chef Ausbildung).
