There are two editions of this single: on the first to side “B” were recorded the songs “ Bicycle Race ”, “ Fat Bottomed Girls ” and “ Don't Stop Me Now ”, on the other - the recordings “My Fairy King”, “Doing Alright” and “ Liar ” from the band’s sessions for the BBC in 1973 (officially released on At the Beeb ) [2] .
In this song, the vocal part is performed in turn by Freddie Mercury , Roger Taylor and Brian May . The song used backing vocals by Rebecca Lay-White , Gary Martin , Katherine Porter and Miriam Stokley .
The song was originally recorded with Rod Stewart in 1983 during sessions for The Works [3] .
The original version of the song for Made in Heaven contained additional lines at the beginning that were performed by the gospel choir. They had to be removed due to plagiarism charges from the song “ Piece of My Heart ” [3] .
In the theater
In 1997 , choreographer Maurice Bejart used the song, along with other Queen works, in his ballet The Priest ’s House .
