History

The members of the trio received a degree in music from Trinity College of Music in the direction of "Jazz vocals and performance." When M. Pappini graduated from college, she could no longer sing with C. Mullins in a jazz choir, so she suggested that she bring a small group together to sing the songs of the Andrews Sisters trio . Mullins proposed Stephanie O'Brien as the third girl. [2] Initially, serious work was not planned, but pretty soon the group began to gain popularity, and is currently actively conducting concert activities and working on its own repertoire. [3]

Impact

The name of the group is a tribute to the stylish vocal trio “The Andrews Sisters”, popular in America from the late 1930s to the mid 1950s. Almost all the songs of the Pappini sisters are an attempt to breathe new life into the popular tunes of the time. Their task was facilitated by the fact that they chose not unknown rarities, but famous songs that became classics. [8]

According to the Pappini Sisters page on My Space, the trio’s creativity was influenced by:

  • The Andrews Sisters

  • Ginger and fred
