Piskovichi is a village in the Pskov district of the Pskov region of Russia . The administrative center of the Piskovichi parish of the Pskov region [2] . Located on the Velikaya River, 5 km north-west of the northern border of the city of Pskov [3] [4] , in fact, being its suburb (it is not by chance that Piskovichi is called “village” in everyday life, but not “village” ).

The housing stock is represented almost exclusively by high-rise buildings ; the private residential sector has almost disappeared. Two high-class, modern facilities have been built on the territory of the Piskoviches: the “South Harbor” business-class house [9] and the residential complex “Vidny” [10] .
Church of the Apostle Matthew
On the territory of Piskovich (in colloquial speech of local residents - "Piskovich") there is a monument of Russian Orthodox architecture of the beginning of the XVIII century. - The Church of the Apostle Matthew .
An eight- to- four-square church , with a pentagonal apse and a porch . A common solution in the pseudo-Russian style . Chetveriks bestopolpny, octagon on the tromp and on consoles . Overlap - closed octahedral arch . The material is a limestone slab [11] .
The Church of Apostle Matthew is an architectural monument of republican significance (Decree of the Council of Ministers of the RSFSR No. 1327 of August 30, 1960).
Infrastructure
In the village there is MBOU "Piskovskaya Secondary School" , kindergarten - kindergarten "Ryabinushka", Pskov Tennis Academy (the largest tennis club in the Pskov region), equestrian club "Renaissance", fitness center, House of Culture , Museum of History . Park areas, a large number of sports and children's playgrounds, shops (the main ones are the shops of the Magnit and Pyaterochka retail chains).
Agrofirm "Victory"
Piskovichi is the central homestead of one of the foremost agricultural enterprise in the Pskov Region - an agrofirm (in the Soviet period - the Order of the Red Banner of the State Farm ) "Victory" . The transformation of the state farm "Victory" in the 1970s - 1980s. to one of the leading farms in the region is associated with the name of its director, Hero of Socialist Labor Gregory Ivanovich Getsentov ( 1916 - 1992 ).
Snetogorsko-Murovitsky Natural Monument
On the territory of the village is partly Snetogorsko-Murovytsky natural monument .
It has an area of 46.93 hectares , is located on the right bank of the Great River, from the village of Sniatnaya Gora to the village of Murovitsy . On the territory adjacent to the nature sanctuary there are the populated areas: the village of Khotitsy , the village of Piskovichi, the village of Zagoritsy and the village of Murovice. In the area of Snetnaya Gora and Piskovichi, layers of dolomites and marls are exposed with petrified remnants of ancient fauna . The vegetation cover is represented by grassy communities with a predominance of grasses and legumes , thickets of shrubs , a plot of deciduous forest . Within the boundaries of the monument of nature , 365 species of higher plants from 71 families are registered. In this area, 41 species of plants rare for the Pskov Region grow .
