The Ural training and experimental leshoz is one of the largest leshozes in the Sverdlovsk region .
The forestry enterprise owns more than 29 thousand hectares of land in the area directly adjacent to one of the largest cities in Russia.

Status
Legally, it is a structural unit of the Ural State Forestry University . The center is in the village of Severka , part of the municipality of the city of Ekaterinburg .
The director (as of 2012) is Yuri Oleinikov, the chief forester is Aleksey Viktorovich Klimov.
History
The leskhoz was organized on March 23, 1948 as a result of securing the forest fund for the Ural Forestry Institute for scientific, educational purposes and for training and production practices in accordance with Decree of the Council of Ministers of the USSR No. 881-P of January 27, 1948 [1]
Activities
On the territory of the leshoz, students of the forestry faculty of Ural State Technical University undergo training and production practices. At the disposal of students on the territory of the leshoz there is an aerospace forest taxation range, two hydro-forest reclamation hospitals, a pilot production drainage site on an area of 200 hectares, and other educational and scientific facilities [2] .
The structure of the training and experimental leshoz includes 5 sites: Parkovskiy, Severskiy, Verkh-Isetskiy, Student, Uvalovskiy, a woodworking workshop, a transport workshop, a carpentry workshop, an ornamental plant nursery, a hospitality laboratory training hotel complex with a canteen, and a sports camp Youth ”, a recreation center for employees“ Vivacity ”, a training and experimental hunting farm on an area of 26 thousand hectares. [3] .
It is located both in the territory of the municipal entity “the city of Yekaterinburg” and in the territories of adjacent municipalities.
In 2006, the Center for Transfer Technologies in the timber industry complex was established on the territory of the leshoz to test and study technological processes in the timber industry [4] .
