Coffeeshop (coffeeshop niderl. Coffeeshop ) - a kind of institutions (mainly in the Netherlands ) that have permission to publicly sell cannabis and products from it. The activities of the coffee shops are regulated by the “ Opium Law ” and the Dutch drug policy .
In the Netherlands, despite the technical prohibition, the sale, possession and use of light drugs in coffeeshops is not actually prosecuted, with the following restrictions [1] :
- do not advertise prohibited substances;
- prevent the sale of hard drugs in your premises;
- to prevent violations of public order;
- sell only to persons over 18 years old, do not allow persons under this age to enter the premises;
- not to sell one person more than a certain amount (5 grams);
- Do not place coffee shops closer than 350 meters from schools.
