Prewar Biography
Konstantin Matveevich Boboshko was born on May 28, 1918 in the village of Velikiye Budki, Nedrigailovsky District, Sumy Region of the Ukrainian SSR .
Having received an incomplete secondary education, he worked in his native village.
Participation in World War II
Konstantin Matveevich Boboshko was drafted into the ranks of the Red Army in 1938 .
He took part in the Soviet-Finnish war . After the war he graduated from artillery courses.
Since July 1941, he participated in the Great Patriotic War . He fought on the Kalinin and First Baltic Fronts. During this time he was wounded and shell-shocked three times.
Remaining the only one who did not drop out of his calculation at the villages of Pushkari and Romanenki ( Smolensky district ), Captain Boboshko twice entered into battles with German tanks, while knocking out 7 Nazi tanks.
Konstantin Matveevich Boboshko was admitted to the CPSU in 1942 .
During the battles for the city of Dukhovshchina ( Smolensk region ) on August 23 - September 20, 1943, Konstantin Matveevich put down 3 guns, 14 machine gun points and 3 mortar batteries with the fire of a battery and destroyed several hundred Nazis.
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of June 4, 1944, for the skillful leadership of the unit, personal courage and bravery shown in battles with the enemy, guard, Captain Konstantin Matveevich Boboshko was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Golden Star medal .
Postwar Biography
Konstantin Matveevich Boboshko in 1945 graduated from advanced training courses for officers, and then the Higher Officer Artillery School in Leningrad .
In 1946 , being in the rank of captain, he was transferred to the reserve. After his dismissal, he worked at peat enterprises in the Novgorod region . He lived in the city of Zaporozhye .
He died on November 26, 1994 .
