Mazyly (mazily) - in the Moldavian principality are members of the class directly following the boyarins and bedtels .
Mazily enjoyed privileges in respect of [1] . Upon the accession of Bessarabia to Russia, the Mazyls were attributed to the status of single-doors . By the law of March 10, 1847, the duties laid down on them (filed dazhdiya ) were determined and it was decided that the mazyles, if possible, form separate rural societies in the volosts, managed by elected captains of the mazyls (elders or elders).
The Law on the Rights of the State of the Residents of the Bessarabian Region read [2] :
Rename Boyarinas into personal noblemen, and mazyles, as well as ruptashes into single-palaces ... In each district, comprising from 100 to 150 families, the mazyles are chosen from among themselves for three years by captain mazily (elder), whose duties lie in observing for peace and order in the villages, as well as for the correct payment of taxes and duties. The captain of the mazyls is affirmed in this position by the local regional authorities, without the participation of the leader of the nobility and sending the service to this gratis ... According to their state, belonging to the number of free rural inhabitants, the mazyles form separate rural societies in the volosts, where the number of families can be established from their village administration ... Proof of belonging to the privileged class of boyarsh, mazyles, ruptashe rupta-de-wisteria and ruta-de-camara are documents issued for signatures former governors of Moldavia or under their seal from the wisteria (the general treasury of the principality) or from the Divan , as well as those issued from the former Bessarabian temporary committee. With a lack of written documents, a sworn testimony of 12 trustworthy witnesses is required ...
