The son of Eduard Ludwigovich Regel , director (1875-1892) of the St. Petersburg Botanical Garden .
He was engaged in park building, landscape architecture . Founder of Regel & Kesselring, a private garden planner [1] .
Designed and created a park on the estate "Random" of General D. V. Drachevsky in the Mzymta river valley 3 km from Adler (modern Sochi state farm park "Southern Cultures" ) [2] . He was engaged in the arrangement of the garden of the Ala-Kiriola estate [3] , designed the Light Park in the city of Narva-Jõesuu (Estonia).
In 1896, A.E. Regel's work “Graceful Gardening and Artistic Gardens” was published, which generalized and systematized the history of gardening and developed a system of practical recommendations. In 1990, the book was reprinted.
